The Streaming Giant Chooses Spot-On Performer for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment

The Secret Organization is set to play a huge role in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the true confrontation won’t take place until season 3, and a beloved, popular member has now been chosen.

The platform declared recently that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will play Bentham. Bon Clay possesses the power to change into an exact copy of any individual they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and goes by they/them, will portray a version of that character reimagined as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action show, as in the original manga and anime.

The new cast member is joined by several other fresh additions who will portray the group to the screen, such as chief Mr. 0, played by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and an accomplished actor, who is also part of the lineup as the ruler of Alabasta.

Even though the role is a major member of Baroque Works, the persona won’t appear until One Piece season 3. With the second season likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this marks a major departure in the timing of the character’s debut, one that could indicate more adjustments to the plot development.

The actor’s combination of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the part. In addition to their current animated role in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and numerous honors for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the range they’ll add to one of One Piece’s highly regarded roles.

Netflix's live-action One Piece series is set to return for its next installment on March 10th, 2026.
