The City of Angels witnessed widespread celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a thrilling seven-match World Series title. Fans across the globe joined local residents in celebration, marking the first time in 25 years that a team has secured consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Massive Turnout
Los Angeles area events featured a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.
Social media videos depict countless of Los Angeles residents flooding downtown streets, many displaying handmade banners and team flags. The squad was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the masses, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy high.
“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” the star player remarked through an interpreter.
The procession path ended at Dodger Stadium, where the team walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ providing music and the artist driving a light blue classic car around the stadium’s outfield.

Celebrations began well before the procession, with supporters setting off fireworks in the streets of Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday night.
The World Series MVP, named the World Series’ Most Valuable Player, spoke directly about the win.
“We refuse to lose,” he said. “I adore this team. This city means everything to me.”
Mixed Reactions and City Unity
In contrast, the team owner was met with a less warm reception at the rally. Recordings from the event appear to show Walter taking the stage to a mix of applause and boos, with jeers punctuating his speech.
The World Series served as a bright spot in what has been a challenging year for the city. An approximate quarter-million people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player one athlete, fans this year demonstrated as much if not more support.
“It seems it’s almost double from last year,” he remarked. “These fans are crazy. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
