Football Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

Arsenal's 10-game winning streak came to an end by Sunderland before the global break, but will the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," remarked soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, against AI, readers and a range of guests.

In the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

Murs' latest record, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Soccer and Family Experiences

Murs is a talented footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a star of multiple charity football games down the years - but he is not intending a professional return as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a benefit game the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "My team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or boy chooses to play instead."

Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their Saturday football team," he added.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly owned a football club for a period too.

"My father did it with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I get it from. He coached our team for several years and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for their star's return from injury but their attack is now stronger with Pedro and Delap both back fit.

I still think this fixture will be fairly tight, though. The Clarets are well organised and their only home defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

It smells of a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's prediction: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their previous couple matches - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, the Hammers secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear competitive again.

The Hammers' only on the road victory this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's manager.

Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - can West Ham extending their run under Nuno, or the home side responding?

I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

The guest's outlook: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under Nuno. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign started, but they have surprised a several observers under their manager and are in good form with three in their last four games.

A family member told me to select Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

Thiago will probably score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support the away side at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had much fortune on the travel this season, and Brighton are consistently strong at home. The visitors will attempt to attack on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a threat.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

Olly's prediction: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it in reality proves to be quite tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their last six games.

They have have lots of quality in their squad but it still seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.

As for Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.

Their performance in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not witnessed anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.

The logical choice would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of roughing Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the end of October.

But I am not do that. Rather, I really need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they clearly love to prove me wrong.

Considering Fulham's home record, the sole side they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's team will be extremely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I know Sunderland are doing well and also that Fulham are on a poor run... but Fulham have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough fixture to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but could they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
