Passionate fans of the pop star are demanding that a man who jumped a barrier and touched the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A circulating footage shows the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside photographers and charging at Grande while the performers walked down a event pathway surrounded by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being detained", though official papers showed that he was scheduled to attend court on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

Record of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram account includes recordings of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney show in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last winter.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," stated an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Express Concern Over the Star's Well-being

Several followers accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed suffering from PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote one more comment on Instagram.

Some supporters also faulted event staff at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals called for social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande appeared startled when she was touched by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.
